Google Analytics is a Google’s web analytics services for monitoring various kinds of analytics data for a particular website. It is used for SEO(Search Engine Optimization) and marketing purpose. You can add in Magento store including eCommerce tracking and conversations of their website. It allows administrator to monitor their website traffic.
The following steps help you set up Google Analytics in Magento store:
- Login to your Magento Admin Panel.
- Click on System menu and click on the Configuration option.
• Once you click on configuration option, you will see Google API option in sales section from left side.a
Click on that Google Analytics tab which shows many settings which are mentioned below
- Enable option should be set to Yes to activate payment method
- Type option provides two types: Google Analytics and Universal Analytics
- Account Number accepts your account number
- Enable IP anonymization option should be set to Yes.
Once you are done the entire settings click on Save Config button to save all the changes related to that.
